Welcome Message
Dear Members and colleagues,
It is our great pleasure to welcome you all to the first European Hematology Association (EHA)-Hong Kong Society of Haematology (HKSH) Hematology Tutorial on lymphoid malignancies. It is the EHA-led Tutorial and also the first collaboration between EHA and HKSH.
Lymphoid malignancies are common, but the management can be challenging. The classification, diagnosis and treatment of lymphoid malignancies have been rapidly evolving in the past two decades. During this 2-day meeting, we will start with the updated WHO classification of lymphoid neoplasms which will be presented by Prof. Reuben Tooze who is the co-author of the latest WHO classification of lymphoid neoplasms. Prof. Leticia Quintanilla-Fend, the Past-President of the European Association for Haematopathology (EA4HP) will talk on the pathological diagnosis of lymphoma with highlights on the role of liquid biopsy in lymphoma.
The updated clinical management of various types of lymphoid malignancies will be presented by renowned and experienced lymphoma and leukemia experts. These will be complemented by interactive clinical case presentations by the EHA speakers and local speakers from Hong Kong will also present interesting clinical cases.
We aim at deepening the knowledge of the delegates in the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic lymphoid malignancies, and the understanding of the new developments in this field through this meeting. We look forward to seeing you at the first EHA-HKSH Hematology Tutorial and trust you will enjoy the inspiring presentations.
